Party and Level quests
Forming a Party, sharing EXP and Items, and the Level quests that give the Ancient Ring and the Necklace of Hero
Forming and managing a Party
- Invite: Shift + left-click a player and choose Invite to Party, or invite someone from the list of players looking for a Party in the Party window (key P). An invitation lasts 60 seconds
- Number of members: the leader can take (LEAD ÷ 5) + 1 people including themselves, up to 16. For example, LEAD 15 allows 4 people
- The leader can kick members, hand over leadership, disband the Party and change how EXP / Items are shared
- If the leader leaves, the member who has been in the Party longest becomes the new leader
- Changing Map or leaving the game = leaving the Party (except when entering the Dekaren Dungeon from the waiting room)
Finding a Party
- If you are not in a Party, the Party window has a Find Party tab listing Parties whose leader is on the same Map as you. You can ask to join (a request lasts 60 seconds and the leader answers)
- If a Party cannot be asked, the reason is shown, e.g. it is full or not taking requests
- While you have no Party, switch on Looking for a Party on the My Party tab to put your name in that Map's list, and there is a Refuse invitations switch if you do not want to be invited
- The leader can set whether the Party appears in the list, whether it takes join requests, and write a short note of up to 40 characters (Settings tab)
Sharing EXP and Items
Members who are near the Monster and still alive get a share even if they did not hit it, and the Party's total EXP gets an extra 5% for each member present
| EXP sharing | How it is shared |
|---|---|
| By damage (default) | 60% by the damage each member dealt · 40% by Level · the leader gets an extra 10% |
| Equal | Split equally between everyone, then everyone gets an extra 25% |
Equal sharing works when members' Levels are no more than 30 apart. If the gap is larger, the Party falls back to sharing by damage by itself, with a notice
| Item sharing | Who gets the right to pick up |
|---|---|
| Normal (default) | Whoever dealt the most damage |
| Random | A random member among those entitled |
| Leader | The Party leader |
| In turn | Members take turns |
A dropped Item is reserved for its owner for 30 seconds, and the game says in the chat who has the right to it
Level quests: overview
- Open the quest window with key U. Quests are taken right from this window, with no NPC to visit, and you can have several at once
- Monsters a quest needs have a gold ! mark above their head, and your progress shows under the HP bar at the top left
- A kill counts when you or a Party member within sight lands the final blow
- Monsters finished off by your summon count for you, but those finished off by your Pet do not
Ancient Ring quests
Each Level band has one ring quest, which can be done once per character. If your Level goes past the band of a quest you have taken, the quest is cancelled
| Level | Reward | Map | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 105-140 | Ancient Ring Lv.1 | Dekaren | Hunt 10-15 Horn Beasts, then defeat the Cursed Horn Beast |
| 141-170 | Ancient Ring Lv.2 | Shilon | Dark Soul 40 · Horror Lizard 15 · Minot 10 · X-Lizard 10 |
| 171-220 | Ancient Ring Lv.3 | Shilon | Hunt 40-60 Raptoroids, then defeat the Cursed Raptoroid |
| 221-300 | Ancient Ring Lv.4 | Sea Roost | Magma Punch 40 · Antros 40 · Volcanic Risk 20 · Shining Jackal 1 |
| 301 and up | Ancient Ring Lv.5 | Pharos | Battle Dragon 30 · Iron Dragon 40 · Flying Devil King 20 · Sky Dragon 1 |
Quests with a Cursed Monster
- Once you have hunted enough, the next Monster of that kind you hit at full HP becomes a Cursed one (with a crown above its head)
- Only the quest's owner and Party members within sight can hit it
- If you die or leave the game while the Cursed Monster is still out, you must hunt half of the original number again
Claiming the reward
- Press Claim reward in the quest window. The new ring goes into your bag and every old Ancient Ring disappears (the old rings' Options do not carry over)
- You cannot claim until you fix: a plain ring fused into an old Ancient Ring (wear it and right-click to take it out) · an Ancient Ring in the warehouse or delivery box · a full bag
Ring Option quests
- After finishing the ring quest of your Level band and while wearing that ring, the game offers you one Option quest at a time, which you may accept or refuse
- A quest is offered after you defeat 30 Monsters (no more than 40 Levels below you). If you refuse or cancel, you must defeat another 60-100 to get a new offer
- One ring can have up to 5 Option levels
- Press Claim reward while wearing the ring, and the Option is added to the ring you are wearing
| Option | Value |
|---|---|
| Counter-attack chance | +5% |
| Critical chance | +5% |
| Electric / fire / stone / cold / all-element resistance | +5 each |
| Buff Skill duration | +20% per level (up to 2 levels) |
| Recovery potion effect | +10% per level (up to 3 levels) |
| Damage absorption | +5% (Lv.5 ring only) |
| Evasion chance | +5% (Lv.5 ring only) |
Each ring level has a different set of possible Options
Clearing Options
If you are not happy with the Options you got, press Clear Options (get a new ring) in the quest window. The old ring disappears and you get a blank ring of the same level at no Lime cost, then you can start the Option quests again. It cannot be done if you have an Option quest taken, a plain ring fused in, or a full bag
Necklace of Hero quest (Level 345)
- Appears in the quest window when your character reaches Level 345, and can be done once per character
- Quest: defeat 30 Vipers and 30 Cornu Vipers
- Reward: the Necklace of Hero, with extra stats and a 3% chance to block attacks. When worn, a fairy floats alongside you
Where to find Vipers
Vipers do not spawn on their own; they are called out when you fight a Serpent or Cornu Serpent in the Serpent Queen's ancient ruins in Dmitron (around 1115-1135, 1125-1175). Each time its HP falls to 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% and 5%, 5 Vipers and 5 Cornu Vipers come out, 25 + 25 per Serpent, and Serpents respawn every hour. The way into this area is the Ruins Entrance warp point at Green Hill (802, 145)
