Game Guide

EXP and Drop by Level gap

How much less EXP you get for hitting Monsters far below your Level, and whether the Level gap changes Item drop chances.

EXP when your Level is far from the Monster's

  • EXP only goes down when your character's Level is higher than the Monster's. The bigger the gap, the bigger the cut
  • If the Monster's Level is higher than or equal to your character's, you get the full 100% EXP (no extra EXP)
  • The gap counts up to 100 Levels; a gap above 100 is cut the same as a gap of 100
  • Lime is never cut, however big the Level gap
  • Every time you get EXP you get at least 1

Ordinary Maps: a gap of up to 30 Levels costs almost no EXP, but after that the cut grows faster and faster · Dmitron cuts at a steady rate of about 0.4% per Level of gap

To get the most EXP, hunt Monsters no more than 30 Levels below you, or Monsters above your Level

Playing in a Party

  • The game first splits the Party's EXP between the members (by the method the leader set; see the Party chapter), and then each member's share is cut by the gap between that member's Level and the Monster's
  • So when hitting the same Monster, a high-Level member may have their EXP cut while a member below the Monster's Level gets it in full
  • If the Party has members who are 100 Levels or more below its highest-Level member, the Party's total EXP rises by 5% for each such member (counted up to 3 = at most +15%)

Pets that help fight

If your Pet helps hit a Monster, the Pet takes a share of the EXP by the damage it dealt, and only the rest goes to its owner (then cut by the Level gap as in the table above). The harder your Pet hits, the less EXP its owner gets from that Monster

Drop and Level

  • The Level gap does not change Item drop chances. Hitting the same Monster gives the same drop chance whatever your character's Level
  • Each Item's drop chance can be seen on the Item search and Monster search pages (the numbers are the chance per kill)

Exception: Magic Platinum

Magic Platinum drops on a timer for each Map. When the time comes, the next Monster killed drops it if the Levels of the killer and of the Monster match this table
